This delicious vegetable-packed frittata requires no chopping or dicing! Follow my recipe or add your own favorite vegetables and I think that you’ll be happy with the results.
My “prepping” mindset led me to create this recipe from all freeze-dried ingredients. Buy Thrive Life Ingredients here and save so much time in the kitchen and waste less too!
Ingredients
- Garlic
- Chopped Onions
- Sausage Crumbles
- Chopped Spinach
- Mushroom Pieces
- Red Bell Peppers
- Shredded Cheddar Cheese
- Scrambled Egg Mix
- Instant Milk
- Butter Powder
- Salt + Pepper
- Fat ( I used bacon grease)
Step 1:
- Garlic 1 tablespoon
- Chopped Onions 1/4 cup
- Sausage Crumbles 1 cup
- 3/4 cup warm water
Mix together and let sit for at least 10 minutes. Stir and let sit for another 5 minutes.
Step 2:
- Shredded Cheddar Cheese 1 cup
- 31/2 T cold water
Mix together and refrigerate in a resealable bag.
Step 3:
- Chopped Spinach 1/2 cup
- Mushroom Pieces 1/2 cup
- Red Bell Peppers 1/2 cup
- 1/2 cup water
Mix together and let sit for 10-15 minutes.
Step 4:
- Scrambled Egg Mix 14 tablespoons
- 21 tablespoons water
Mix scrambled egg mix and water together. I know it sounds like a lot of tablespoons to measure out. LOL! If you convert it to cups, let me know!
Step 5:
- Milk 1/4 cup + 1 T water
- Butter Powder 2 T + 2 T water
Combine milk and water together then add butter powder and water.
Step 6:
In a medium bowl mix together egg mixture with cheese. Then add milk and butter mixture. Add salt and pepper to taste.
Directions:
- Heat oven to 400 degrees F.
- Heat 3 T fat over medium heat in a 10-12 inch cast iron pan. (I had bacon grease, so I used that).
- Once warm, add your meat, garlic and onion mixture. Sauté for 2 minutes.
- Add vegetables and combine with meat mixture.
- Pour egg, cheese, and milk mixture over meat and vegetables. Cook until frittata begins to set up, about 8-10 minutes.
- After it begins to set up, place it in the oven and bake. After 15 minutes check with a knife. If it’s not cooked through continue cooking at 5 minute intervals.
